:: VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS ::SynthesizersI have used mainly these synthesizers in my music production.They are from Native Instruments, a very important virtual instrument developer.  Pro-53 is a synthesizer that resembles in some way the classical Prophet 5 analog synthesizer. It features a sound personality taken from the 70s, a retro-electronic music that brings into memory the beginning of the electronic music.  FM7 is a FM (frequency modulation) synthesizer. Having eight different operators, it is a very complex instrument to program. Luckily, it comes with many sounds ready to use. I think this synth is ideal for use in New Age music. It can create very subtle and delicate sounds.  Absynth - the image shows an old version, 1.3 - is a synthesizer that brings the sound of future. It has a wide range of capabilities, from punchy sounds and loops to subtle soundscapes and athmospheres. It is easier to program than FM7, but the sound seems to be more harsh. Overall, its sound has a cold and alien feeling. Drum KitsSR-202 is a very good drum machine, that was given free withComputer Music magazine. It comes with some drum kits ready to use, which sound fairly good. Some controls will give additional control over the sound.  |
